Antenna Engineering Handbook is the standard reference handbook on antenna design and engineering, edited by Richard C. Johnson and Henry Jasik, published by McGraw-Hill. The first edition appeared in 1961 under the editorship of Henry Jasik alone; the second edition was issued in 1984 with Richard C. Johnson and Harold B. The handbook covers the primary antenna types in depth, treating both design techniques and operating principles. Chapters move from the basics of dipoles and monopoles through arrays of discrete elements to conformal and low-profile arrays, methods of polarization synthesis, broadbanding and impedance matching, and microwave propagation. It is written for practising RF and microwave engineers and graduate students in electrical engineering.
