Summary: 

"The Healer" follows the story of Rachel O'Malley, a trauma psychologist who specializes in treating victims of violent crimes. Rachel's dedication to her work is driven by her own traumatic past and the loss of her younger sister, Michelle, who was murdered years ago.

When a series of mysterious illnesses strikes the children of St. Louis, Rachel is called in to assist with the investigation alongside Detective Sam Delvecchio. As Rachel and Sam work together to uncover the cause of the illnesses, they find themselves drawn to each other despite their personal and professional differences.
